I have a Bose 321 Acoustimass 3 amplified subwoofer /speaker system whose receiver is not working.?

It has a special kind of cable that can only connects to a Bose receiver to the amplified subwoofer. Is there an adapter available in the market that will connect it to a non-Bose receiver (like mp3 or desktop computers? Or how can I convert the other end of the cable into a 1/8 jack or even 1/4 jack? The wires seems very complicated if I splice it. Need help.
