During Reverse transciption from total RNA, do I also get cDNA from pre-mRNA?

If I want to clone a gene from total RNA prep >> cDNA >> PCR pathway, how do I know that I didn't amplify a pre-mRNA? Is there a way to selectively amplify already spliced final mRNA?
